Zadar’s airport at Zemunik is barely 8 km from the peninsula, which makes this one of the shortest airport transfers in Europe: 15–20 minutes, most of it on a straight road. Zadar keeps its best trick for the evening: the sea organ and the Greeting to the Sun sit together on the western tip, and the sunset there earned the city Hitchcock’s much-quoted compliment. Plan the arrival so you are not still checking in when it happens.
